Reading udder health in heat.

Infrared thermography (IRT) captures surface temperature across the udder. Localised hot spots — often 1.5–2.5°C above the surrounding tissue — are an early, non-contact signal of inflammation or subclinical mastitis, well before it's visible to the eye.
